Gaia School of Natural Health
Brief was to design a clear and colourful website, incorporating brand colours, whilst also providing security and a private student area for lesson notes, handouts etc to be available for student download.
It was important that information on the site was readily accessible and so both title and side menus were made available. To promote user inter-action button links were adopted.
Over time there have been further developments:
The site has evolved in tandem with the development and growth of Gaia School of Natural Health. With new courses becoming available and migrating from downloadable booking forms, the site now includes a bespoke online booking form. The form allows for required user information to be collected in an easy format as well providing users an efficient, easy access point to booking online.
With users increasingly visiting the site using mobile and tablet devices, we quickly adopted a more mobile responsive approach to the web design. The permanent menu bars were replaced by a dynamic reveal menus, whilst presenting further active links to particular points of interest on the site.
To combat hacking and ensure improved security across the internet there was a move to adopt HTTPS - a securer version of the the original Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). ChezRoberts Services recommended and adopted for free the Lets Encrypt SSL certification for all of its clients. Now visitors to the site will notice in the web address a padlock illustrating they are accessing the website via a secure connection.
Changes in European law on user data protection meant that information gathered through online forms needed to be formally consented to by visitors to the site. Consequently contact and online booking forms needed buttons/triggers to allow users to deactivate cookies as well a opt-in consent. It is this type of proactive consideration to our clients that allows ChezRoberts to maintain their custom for many years.
